Iqra Aziz

Iqra Aziz is a leading Pakistani actress known for her comic timing as well as her dramatic range. Born on 24 November 1997 in Karachi, she began acting at a young age, making her debut in 2013 with a supporting role in Kankar. She appeared in several serials before her breakout role in the drama Aakhri Station (2014).

Breakthrough

Iqra shot to national fame in 2018 with the comedy romance Suno Chanda, in which she played the rebellious Ajiya opposite Farhan Saeed. The drama was a massive ratings success and earned her the Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress. In the same year she delivered the critically acclaimed performance of Noori in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, which won her the Hum Award for Best Actress — establishing her as one of the most talented actresses of her generation.

She followed these successes with Jhooti (2020), Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 (2021), Mannat Murad (2022) and Habs (2024), consistently headlining some of the most-watched dramas on television. Her performance in Mannat Murad, in particular, was widely praised by critics.

Personal life

In 2019, Iqra married actor Yasir Hussain, with whom she has two children. The couple is known for their candid, humorous public presence.
