Biography
Mohammad Nabi, born on January 1, 1985, in Balkh, Afghanistan, is the former captain of the Afghan national cricket team and one of the most important figures in Afghan cricket history. He has played in T20 World Cups, ODI World Cups, and the IPL. As an all-rounder, Nabi has scored over 2,000 T20I runs and taken over 100 wickets. Under his captaincy, Afghanistan gained Test status from the ICC in 2017. He has played for franchises in the IPL, BBL, and other T20 leagues worldwide. Nabi has been a pioneer of Afghan cricket and his leadership has been instrumental in the team's rise from associate member to full ICC member.
