Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka Chopra Jonas (born 18 July 1982) is an Indian actress, singer, film producer, and businesswoman. She is one of India's most successful crossover stars, having established herself in both Bollywood and Hollywood. She won the Miss World 2000 pageant and has since become one of the most recognized Indian faces globally. Born in Jamshedpur, Bihar (now Jharkhand), Chopra grew up in various cities across India due to her parents' military service. She won the Miss India and Miss World titles in 2000. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film "Thamizhan" (2002), and she quickly rose to prominence in Bollywood with films like "Andaaz" (2003), "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" (2004), and "Aitraaz" (2004). Chopra's most acclaimed performances include "Fashion" (2008, which won her the National Film Award), "Kaminey" (2009), "7 Khoon Maaf" (2011), "Barfi!" (2012), "Mary Kom" (2014), "Bajirao Mastani" (2015), and "The White Tiger" (2021). She was the first South Asian actress to lead an American TV series, starring in "Quantico" (2015-2018) on ABC. In 2018, she married American singer Nick Jonas in a lavish ceremony that was watched worldwide. Together, they have a daughter named Malti Marie (born via surrogate in 2022). Chopra has also launched a production company (Purple Pebble Pictures), a haircare line (Anomaly), and an Indian restaurant in New York (Sona).
