Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan (born 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, is an Indian actor, film producer, and television personality who works in Hindi cinema. Referred to in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood," "King of Bollywood," and "King Khan," he has appeared in over 100 films and has earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. With an estimated net worth of over $770 million, he is one of the richest actors in the world and one of the most successful film stars in the history of Indian cinema. Born in New Delhi, Khan grew up in a middle-class family. His father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was a freedom fighter and entrepreneur, while his mother, Lateef Fatima, was a magistrate. Khan attended St. Columba's School in Delhi and later earned a master's degree in mass communications from Jamia Millia Islamia University. He began his career with television serials in the late 1980s, gaining recognition for the series "Fauji" (1989). Khan made his Bollywood debut with "Deewana" (1992) and quickly rose to stardom with romantic roles in films like "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995), "Dil To Pagal Hai" (1997), and "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (1998). "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" became the longest-running film in Indian cinema history, completing over 1,200 consecutive weeks at Mumbai's Maratha Mandir theatre. He went on to become the most popular Bollywood actor worldwide, with a massive fan following across South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Khan co-owns the Indian Premier League cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders with actress Gauri Khan and filmmaker Juhi Chawla. He is also the co-chairman of Red Chillies Entertainment, one of India's most successful production houses. In 2023, Khan made a spectacular comeback with "Pathaan," "Jawan," and "Dunki," with all three films crossing the ₹1,000 crore mark at the box office — a feat no other Indian actor has achieved.
