Shahram Nazeri

Shahram Nazeri, born in 1952 in Kermanshah, Iran, is one of the most celebrated vocalists in Iranian classical and Sufi music. Often referred to as the 'Persian Pavarotti,' Nazeri's extraordinary vocal range, emotional depth, and mastery of the dastgah (modal) system have made him a living legend of Iranian music. He began studying music at a young age under the tutelage of renowned masters and quickly developed a reputation for his exceptional talent. Nazeri's repertoire spans centuries of Persian classical music, from the compositions of the medieval period to contemporary works. He has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and major concert halls across Europe. His interpretations of Rumi's poetry set to music have been particularly acclaimed, bringing Persian mystical poetry to global audiences.
