Tanka Prasad Acharya

Tanka Prasad Acharya (1912–1992) was a Nepalese politician and democracy activist who served as the Prime Minister of Nepal from 1956 to 1957. He was one of the key figures in Nepal's democracy movement and fought against the Rana oligarchy. Acharya was the president of the Nepal Praja Party and played a crucial role in the 1951 revolution that ended Rana rule. He was imprisoned several times for his pro-democracy activities. His contribution to Nepal's democratic transition is remembered as one of the most significant chapters in the country's political history.
